Farmacy’s Green Clean cleansing balm is a skincare cult favorite, I came across this gem in 2017 and have loved it ever since! So, when I saw that Farmacy released Clearly Clean, I knew I had to get my hands on it. The new cleansing balm is free of some common irritants like fragrance, essential oils, colorant/dyes and PEGs for people with sensitive skin. While I don’t have sensitive skin, I wanted to see how this version stacked up to the OG – here are my thoughts.

Farmacy Green Clean
My experience: Like I mentioned earlier in the post, this is in my top two of favorite cleansing balms so there is a lot I like about it. For one, it applies like butter on the skin even with a modest amount. It doesn’t cause any irritation around the eyes and it melts away after its emulsifies leaving my skin clean without any residue.
Farmacy Clearly Clean
My experience: Going on the skin, this balm feels a lot oilier compared to Green Clean. It does a great job of removing makeup, and everyday grime however, it does leave a very slight film after I wash it off with water. After, I go in with my second gel cleanser the film completely goes away.
Final Thoughts
While this shares some similarities with the original Green Clean, I won’t be swap Cleanly Clean for the top spot anytime soon. However, if you can’t use the Green Clean because of skin sensitives this is a good alternative.
